Joe Moran
Counsellor and Psychotherapist


Joe Moran is an experienced and qualified psychotherapist working in private practice at the Bloomsbury Therapy Centre in Central London. He works with individuals and couples offering short to long-term counselling and psychotherapy, which is focused on each client's individual goals and needs. Joe works with a varied client group with those from a range of social, cultural and professional backgrounds.

Joe has worked in private practice since 2002 and is experienced in working with issues related to depression, anxiety, relationships, family, employment, career and personal finance, life crisis and life changes, loss and bereavement, sexuality and sexual identity, addictions and spiritual concerns. In his work, Joe uses an 'integrative' approach, drawing upon humanist, psychodynamic, existential and transpersonal approaches in which he trained. Joe also has worked extensively those working in the arts and the creative and cultural industries.

Qualifications and experience
Joe trained at the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education in West London. He holds a Masters degree (CCPE/De Montfort University), Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. When training, Joe undertook his clinical psychiatric attachment at Wonford House Hospital in Devon and has worked professionally with adolescents in acute psychiatric settings in London. Joe worked in private practice at the CCPE psychotherapy clinic in Little Venice for eight years prior to relocating his practice to the Bloomsbury Therapy Centre in 2010. Joe also worked as a Volunteer Counsellor at the Caravan Drop-In Counselling Service in Piccadilly, 2000-2002.
