Joe Moran | Counselling and Psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples in East London

Counselling & Psychotherapy

Counselling and Psychotherapy offers a supportive and dynamic context for reflection and self-inquiry. It can be a catalyst to stimulate change and growth, an opportunity to consciously address that which limits one’s life and relationships, a challenge to come to know one’s needs, and a resource from which to realise goals in daily life. It can also offer a space for emotional respite, quietude and healing.

Counselling tends to be shorter term or time-limited concerned with tackling specific issues or set of concerns, whilst psychotherapy offers a broader, more holistic approach, often addressing more deep-seated issues.

Services

Individual therapy
Individual therapy is offered on a regular, weekly basis with the same appointment time and duration (50mins) each week. Early morning, daytime and evening sessions are available. Sessions may be short term (12 weeks) or open-ended with agreed review points. At times and as appropriate, Joe offers twice-weekly or double sessions (1hr 40mins).

Relationship/ Couple Therapy
Joe’s approach to relationship therapy is quite structured, drawing upon a range of communications tools and exercises to deepen or re-engage dialogue. This offers the foundation from which those in the relationship may work together to explore and address the challenges or conflicts bringing them to therapy.

Supervision
Joe offers individual and group supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and other professionals. Individual sessions are offered at 50 minutes with group sessions for 4 supervisees at two hours. Joe offers supervision in person at his practice in East London and also online.

Consultancy and Facilitation
Joe also works as a consultant and facilitator in organisational contexts across a range of sectors. His work in this area focuses on leadership, collaboration, communication and dialogue, interpersonal and group dynamics, and mental health.
