Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy in Central London

Joe Moran is a psychotherapist working in private practice in Little Venice, West London. He works with individuals offering a range of counselling and therapy services from short to long-term contracts, which are focused on each client's individual goals and needs.


Approach and experience
In his work, Joe uses an integrative approach, drawing upon humanist, psychodynamic, existential and transpersonal perspectives in which he trained. He has worked in private practice since 2002, and is experienced in working with issues related to relationships and family, employment and career, life changes, depression, anxiety, sexuality and sexual identity, addiction and spiritual concerns. Joe undertook an intensive clinical attachment at a psychiatric hospital in Devon and continues to work with teenagers in acute psychiatric settings. He works with a varied client group and values the creative nature of theraputic process.

Background and training
Joe has a professional background in the arts and, alongside his therapy practice, is the director of an independent arts charity working in London and nationally. Joe is an Associate Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and his training includes a Masters degree, Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy. He recent research explored the relationship between artistic creation and healing for his MA in Psychotherapy.

Appointments
Sessions are offered by appointment at Beauchamp Lodge, which is situated close to Paddington and Warwick Avenue stations. Fees are £50 per 55-minute session, with some discounted places available.
